Uniform buttons part 1

Buttons of the world are of a great interest to me.

So allow me to open a new chapter to the subject.

I will elaborate this subject asap.

Here is a first part of a button study of military and police buttons.

Oldest buttons are the one's of Congo free state, bearing a star in the upper left corner of the crest. And the "Travail et progrés " motto.

Belgian Congo buttons simply bear the Belgian coat of arms with the "l'union fait la force" motto.

"Onbekend" means unknown maker.
